I knew Poloniex was doomed the moment they got bought by Circle. Circle is a terrible crypto company. They just don't get it. They started off just fine but not sure if leadership changed or what. Circle used their seed money to buy a solid exchange and immediately made it worse.
Circle basically abandoned decentralization.

Poloniex was where I got my first (and only) 300x "trade".
They also had shitcoins with such a huge spread that I had the lowest asks at 60sat and highest buy order at 30sat.

Yeah for realz. Made out like a bandit. The exchange pre-Circle wasn't bad at all. I understand his cash out though. $400m is a nice chunk of change. Circle is run by morons.
The original Circle app wasn't half-bad. They were one of the first debit cards you could load with crypto. That got shut down. Now they mainly are a stablecoin (USDC) company. I don't even understand what they are offering as a service anymore.
Poloniex and Bittrex were one of the first exchanges I used when I got into crypto back in the days. They were extremely popular back then.
Circle/Polo used to be relevant, now their together in a corner of irrelevancy. Where they belong IMO.

Bittrex is another exchange that's gone to shit imho. I dropped them too when they started to ask me my source of Bitcoin. IMHO it's none of their fucking business. Any exchange asking me private info, I'm out. They are NOT bound by law to ask me that, so fuck them. If the law changes, I'm leaving USA too, I'm fairly sure I would be forced to do so if I wanted to continue running HF. I can't run this site under fiat anymore.

Poloniex was my first exchange. Leaving the US behind is a huge loss for any organisation.
