I genuinely believe that immortality is possible and one day we'll figure it out! And I honestly would love to be immortal ( and all my beloved ones, because to outlive everybody you love would be the hardest part )
And, yeah, I am aware of the possible consequences, but I am pretty sure we'll manage to handle the situation or at least I hope so!
What about you?

I don't think I'd like to be immortal, imagine being 200 years old looking like a potato..
The world is going in the wrong direction, I don't want to be here to see it collapse (my personal opinion before you all start raging)
But would be cool to see what new technology develops.

Absolutely not. It'd be pretty cool to be able to see what earth looks like in say 200 years or so, but no way would I want to actually live that long.

We're talking about immortality, realistically the only way to achieve that would be to somehow stop the aging process of our cells, to be exact we'd need to have full control over our cells and other than that we'd need complete access to the content of the human brain - but we would never be totally immortal, it'd have to be something along the lines of Altered Carbon (the tv series), so this means that once your current self dies you will then reawake in a different body or even better a clone of your own.
Doesn't matter if we will be able to physically live forever or if we will find a way to transfer our mentality into a different body. The main question is would you like to be immortal the way you imagine it ( not being like a potato or anything like that) 💯💯

It would definitely be cool and why you wouldn't want to live that long? Let's say the future will keep getting better and better. What would be the reason for you not wanting to explore it ?

Definitely ! 💯💯💯 I can't understand why someone wouldn't want to be immortal. Even if you are not on the top of the world ( if you and your beloved ones are healthy ) LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL ! 💯💯💯

Nah, I would hate to be immortal and see my loved ones leave me. I also think It would just end up being too boring. Maybe living 200-500 years or something would be cool but not forever. That’s not how things are meant to be

It would for sure be possible i think very soon in like 20 30 years for some chosen people.Yes i'd lik to be one too why not.
Yes but you would deal with so much in your lifetime that I couldn't imagine it always being sunshine and rainbows.

If you're immortals eventually you will know how everything works and why everything exists and then will be bored of this world and you're going to keep living day by day bored and depressed because you know everything and don't need to learn more.
It's like would you watch a single favorite tv show you love over and over for all eternity? Wouldn't you get bored and then want to watch something else but in this scenario you can't.
Life will keep changing forever. You will never know everything there will always be something to explore, learn and etc. We are talking about immortality which means you can live so long that we don't even have the number to describe it. I am pretty sure that if you live long enough at some point humanity will be able to live on a different planet, after that а different Galaxy, and perhaps one day a different Universе! Infinity exists in theory - what if it exists in practice? 💯💯🤯🤯🤯

Fuck nope. This world sucks and I wouldn't be on this planet forever.

I feel like you will get to a point where you would know how everything works and runs and you can even create people or animals and after doing this you will eventually have nothing else to learn and it will be boring. It will turn in to a curse afterwards. I can see at the start seems like a good idea but eventually you will be bored out of your mind. Eventually you will have visited everywhere in the universe and will know if there's an end to the universe.
I highly doubt that the universe will keep changing. I think it will change based on adaptations but the systems and concepts will always be the same. You will end up going mad in the long run.
You are looking from a human's perspective! I truly believe that the Universe even if it's just the one we know is so much more complicated than we expect! Stuff like infinity is something that we people can't fully understand and we always think that everything has a beginning and an end ... but it can be otherwise which means you will never know everything! 💯💯💯

I think technology will advance to the point where immortal people will invent technology to be able to die.

Being immortal and seeing every situation just repeating itself, constantly doesnt sound so nice
