I swapped today for insane snipes on cardano low as hell, apparently there system went down ( 4.5 hours ) and now i received 50% of what i was suppose to.
emailed them the proof etc whats the chances they fulfil the original amount shown on my end . missing out on a fair bit of money as everythings gone up 50% from where i bought. ( 5 digit swap)
If It was unplanned..I'm sure they'll sort you....

Hope so man lol its an insane amount . I was told there api crashed why it wasn't instant usually takes 20-30min to swap . never had issues with them before lets hope..
Does Ledger allow you to adjust your slippage? There was a huge liquidity crunch and people were seeing up to roughly 50% slippage on trades if they didn't have controls in place.

its a fixed rate on the swaps like an extra 1%. seems as if when there system was back online 4.5hrs later they sent me both my transactions at that rate
i have screenshots even on the ledger app says i should of received the original amount

Oh true, idk why I assumed this was a dex trade.
If this is through some centralized swap then I'm not sure how they determine their rates.

Wow, that sucks. If you have solid proof showing the amount you were supposed to get, there’s a decent chance they’ll honor it, but it really depends on the platform’s policies and how responsive their support is. With a swap that big, make sure you keep all screenshots, transaction IDs, and any timestamps. Hopefully they correct it, because missing out on that much, especially with the market moving up 50%, is rough.
I have recently purchased a Ledger wallet, and was looking to shift a portion of my exchange assets onto it.
But not sure if I am making the right decision now!
Is this once in a blue moon incident or a regular affair?

Only today due to the crash tbh never had an issue with exchanges with the inbuilt swap feature

Yeah on my app on the swap it still says the original amount completed too lol. oh buddy it is rough i thought i made an insane play buying at a low price lul went from a 0.32 buy to 65.
Oh you're ass'd out I bet with Ledger. I'm not trying to jinx you but it doesn't look good imho.
Huge chance you took doing a swap that large at one time.

I'm going to assume that they agreed to a price and executed a swap at those prices

Costanza - Did you agree to a dynamic / moving price, or a static exchange amount?

Do you now what slippage is?
Put a little bit more research into Ledger Swap. These swaps can go through one of three routes, all controlled by 3rd parties.
2 of these routes are decentralized exchanges, where you absolutely would have needed to have slippage controls in place or else your output could have varied as much as about 50-60% during the highest periods of volatility yesterday.
The 3rd route is through an instant exchanger, and you would have gotten whatever the market rates are whenever THEY filled this order, not when you submitted it.
In your OP you state that the fill time was hours delayed, it leads me to believe you went through the 3rd route with the instant exchanger, and you likely simply received the market price of the coins when they finally filled the transaction, and since that fill was so delayed, the market price likely rose significantly.
I don't think you see any positive resolution here. Ledger are going to say that you were routed through a 3rd party and you need to take it up with them. Two of the potential 3rd parties are DEX's where you have zero recourse, the other 3rd party will be a centralized entity, but they likely simply filled at current market conditions and aren't going to be willing to go out of pocket to make the situation better for you.

You really came here just to hurl one-liners and pretend that makes you clever? Newsflash: calling someone a “clown” doesn’t win debates, it just exposes how thin your argument game is. I posted helpful, factual advice; you showed up with a tantrum and zero substance. That says everything I need to know about you.
If your only move is cheap insults, maybe take a step back and ask yourself why you feel the need to perform for strangers. Are you trying to look smart, or are you just trying to hide that you don’t actually understand the topic? Because from where I’m standing it’s very much the latter. You’re loud, smug, and utterly useless to the conversation.
Here’s a tip: if you want respect, bring facts. If you want attention, at least bring something original. Showing up to call people names is pathetic — it doesn’t discredit anyone else, it only discredits you. So either put up an actual argument and back it with something besides noise, or log off and stop wasting bandwidth.
Final word: keep acting like that and moderators will sort the rest out, but don’t be surprised when people ignore you. You’ve chosen the role of the background heckler; own it, because nobody’s taking you seriously.
