I guess I'd have a much easier time giving up video games than social media. 😂
Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy playing games whenever I have some free time, but I don't really play as much as I used to.
Social media on the other hand, is something I check almost every day, whether it's catching up with friends, reading random posts or just scrolling when I'm bored.
Although I wouldn't mind taking a break from social media once in a while, giving it up for an entire year would probably be harder than I think.🤣

Oh yeah, social media can be pretty distracting, but giving up video games for a whole year would be much harder, especially if gaming is your way to relax.
Honestly I don't even play video games other than Rocket League once like every 10 days, but at this point I'd give up social media, I'm sick of it.

Sometimes taking a break from it is the best thing you can do for your peace of mind.
I would give up using social media. The only form of social media I ever use is Facebook and I barely even use it to begin with, especially after what happened with MySpace back in the day.

I do deactivate my accounts once every couple of months. Actually going to do that pretty soon now.

Sounds like giving up social media would be pretty easy for you.
I guess once you've lost interest in it, you don't really miss much. By the way, what happened with MySpace back then?

Back in the day, like between 2005 and 2007, MySpace was immensely popular for countless reasons. Like, you could write custom code to change page layouts, design structures, and element placements, etc. It was all the rage. That is until Facebook started becoming popular, among various other things as well, and then it was sold, which changed everything. Maybe someone else can tell the story better than I can, it was so long ago.

Oh yeah, I get it! That sounds a lot like Friendster back in the day, where people loved customizing their profiles too. It's crazy how popular those platforms were before Facebook took over. Makes you wonder if the same thing will happen to today's social media someday!

I mean, it's certainly possible for it to happen again, and I think a lot of people would like that. I guess we will see what happens. :)
Social media, apps like Tiktok and instagram are just brain rotters. On the other side, video games like Minecraft are very profitable for creativity and so on
Could give up social media. Wouldn't be easy though as I get some good info there still
Would give up video games.
