Server Move Tuesday Sept 29 By Omniscient

The plan is to officially move Hack Forums over to the new server on September 29th. The codebase is currently being upgraded for full PHP 8.2 compatibility, once testing on the main pages looks clean the move will happen. During the transfer Hack Forums will be closed temporarily while the database is dumped, moved, and restored total downtime should be around 2 hours. Once the site is opened on the new server access will depend on how quickly your DNS resolves (switching to Cloudflare's 1.1.1.1 can help speed this up). Please note that Convo and the Notify socket will be temporarily offline for 2–3 days during the transition. Live updates will be posted on the official X account (@HackForumsNet) while work is underway. If you encounter any error messages once we are live or have any questions, please report them in the original thread.

Some Battles Are Worth Fighting

Life will put you in situations where you have to fight for something. Your dreams, your family, your peace, your future, or sometimes simply for yourself.

But fighting doesn't always mean making noise. Sometimes it means quietly refusing to give up when nobody is watching. It means continuing when progress is slow and standing your ground when walking away would be easier.

At the same time, not every battle deserves your energy. Some arguments are better left unanswered, some people are better left behind, and some things are simply not worth losing your peace over.

Growing wiser means learning the difference.

Fight for the things that truly matter. Let go of the things that don't. Your energy is limited, so choose carefully where you spend it.

---

Advice of the week

Don't fight every battle you're invited to. Save your strength for the ones that actually matter.

---

Quote of the week

“Choose your battles wisely. After all, life isn't measured by how many times you stand up to fight. It's not winning battles that makes you happy, but how many times you turned away and chose to look in a better direction.”
