Windows 10 says headphones are not plugged in

The headphone jacks in the rear of my computer work, but not the ones in the front. It tells me nothing is plugged in. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling driver, running windows trouble shooter. Tons of googling and nothing seems to be working. The driver is showing High Definition Audio device for the front. Any ideas? Thanks!
Did the headphone jack work at one point or have they never worked properly for you? If they did work before, what possibly could you have changed that might have caused the it?

And are you sure the front jack is actually working? If you have something plugged in the back, and you plug something in the front, does the back output still play or does it go silent?

I just bought this build, I can't confirm that they have ever worked as I didn't try them until I had windows 10 installed upon receiving the PC. Everything else on the computer works great so I would assume they do, just not the right drivers. The back output still works as well (Both of the rear inputs, 4 total). Just the front ones do not, however the USB drives right next to them do work. It's specifically the headphone jack.
Try another pair of headphones.

Will do that now and see. Trying turtle beaches currently.

Tried skull candy and apple ones, same results.
Well you know the answer to your problem right? Windows 10 sucks ass, go back to Windows 7 :)

It does not, I'm going to pull the case apart tomorrow and see if it's actually plugged in.

It's how I handle switching from my speakers to my headphones.

Have a look together with the manual of your mobo, as the correct way of putting the front panel wires is written in there.

The backside doesn't mute when I plug something into it, however thats a good wiring technique. Going out tonight, so I'll dig into it tomorrow and post back! Thanks for the help yani!
Took the PC apart today, sure enough the plug wasn't connected, plugged it in and the audio is fine now. Quite a few things that aren't plugged in on here which was weird!
