Idk about that but I will say it would be a good addition to the 3pic usergroup. Gotta pay up before you get banned for abuse.

Quote:@Mesh or Omni, can we get a call to get a username from a UID? or multiple UIDs?
UID and UIDS (comma seperated multiples) will get it. You should know that given you wrote one of the tutorials.
Quote:It could be tricky (depending how people use the app) seeing as you can only make 100 calls per hour.
Currently just in beta this is the limit but any push notifications timing should be set to once per minute which is more than enough to give reasonable notification and stay within the limits. I'd say once the beta is over we'll have higher limits to maybe 240 per hour which means you'd be able to make a call once every 15 seconds. Devs keys might get higher limits.

This, this is awesome news for people wanting to develop apps!

Nope that's not possible as it currently stands, usernames are a bit messy because of all the special characters people use to get the same name as each other too

You'd also run into serious problems with username changes and impersonating.

Sorry if this is a silly question, will there be a search api for usernames?
If that isn't already implemented.

Isn't that literally what we are just talking about lol

It doesn't appear to be the same question. The other guy was asking about a call to get a UID from a username, which implies an exact 1 to 1 match. "Username search API" implies a list of possible matches similar to the search functionality on the members page.
Also a question, according to the xadamxk API usage post, the tid call returns a response object with the field
Code replies: "4, 6, 7, 9"
Can you clarify if the thread post id's are actually a comma delimited string, and if so, why did you choose this over a JSON array?

It's been changed to a JSON array, Omni just hasn't installed the changes yet because he's been busy last couple of days with other stuff
Wish I was REKT to start developing :(
Can you please version the API? If you can I will create a HF mobile app for both iOS and Android

Yes, we can do that.

Would be nice to use an HF app. I actually use HF on my phone more than I do on my comp anyways.

Another question, I assume all requests are to be made in GET? Any plans to employ REST?
