New Search Feature is Epic!
Omniscient has added a new search feature to Hack Forums that has been restricted to the 3P1C group.

The add-on would allow users to filter specific forums when using Favs results.

Omniscient Wrote:To choose your forum search favorites go into your usercp under Options.
https://hackforums.net/usercp.php?action=options

You will see a forum list on the bottom and you can multi-select your choices. This does not work with parent forums so you have to individually select every forum and not categories. It will not search subforums of selected forums.

A Switch to Turn off Hunger has Been Discovered
A team of researchers at Vanderbilt University has discovered a receptor in the brain that has the ability to turn off hunger when activated. The pharmaceutical industry has been attempting to create a drug to serve this purpose for many years, and this discovery gets us one crucial step closer. However, as the team is very well aware, there is still a metaphorical mountain of work left to be done. According to Jens Meiler, the head of this team and a professor of chemistry and pharmacology, “Before, it was like trying to design a key without knowing the shape of the keyhole.” >>Source

Released Documents Associate Hanz Asperger to the Nazi Party
Thanks to newly released Nazi-era documents, we now know that Hanz Asperger collaborated with the Nazi party in their euthanasia of mentally disabled children. The report on these documents, released in the journal Molecular Autism by the medical historian Herwig Czech, uses eight years of research into these previously private documents. Dr. Asperger was responsible for referring children to the Am Spiegelgrund clinic. Thousands of children either drugged or gassed here between the years of 1940 and 1945. It is not confirmed that Asperger was a member of the Nazi party, however; he certainly did use his position to further his research in the least ethical way possible. >>Source

Danish Political Party Wants Minimum age for male Circumcision
On the 19th of April, the Socialist People’s Part of Denmark “says it will vote in favour of any proposal to ban circumcision of boys.” Three of Denmark’s largest parties – the Social Democrats, Danish People’s Party and the Liberal party – have yet to provide official statements regarding their position on the issue. The Socialist People’s Party, who commonly is referred to as the compendium “SF,” hold seven seats within Denmark’s parliament, and is wholly in favor of voting for a “minimum age for male circumcision.” A proposed petition asking parliament to raise the minimum age of 18 for male circumcision has now been signed by an excess of 37,000 Danish residents. As of writing this, just less than 13,000 additional signatures are needed for parliament to officially address this issue. Though three major parties have yet to confirm their stance on the topic, Danish People’s Party health spokesperson Liselott Blixt stated additional time is needed to gather further information regarding the proposed supplication. >>Source

Lesbian mother in Italy cannot register baby because the local authorities refuse to recognize that neither woman had sex with a man to get pregnant
A lesbian mother in Italy is facing difficulties registering her newborn son because of local authorities’ refusal “to recognize that neither woman had sex with a man to get pregnant.” Chiara Foglietta, a counselor in the northern city of Turin, was impregnated via insemination from an anonymous sperm donor. Foglietta and her partner Micaela Ghisleni had anticipated the child’s birth so that they could raise the boy together, but they have been met with a rocky start on the path of childhood for their young boy. The problem they are facing is attributed to the anonymity of the sperm donor. Seeing as Foglietta had no prior relationship with the man, nor did she know any information about him, the public records office is denying them registration because there is no mention of Chiara’s relationship with her son’s father.” Foglietta went to Facebook to express her grief and said the staff told her to state that she and the man had sexual intercourse with one another, just in order to legally register the boy, seeing there is ‘no formula allowing you to say that you had artificial insemination.’ >>Source

Alienware Built a Decadent Gaming Hotel Room at the Hilton Panama
Starting at $349 a month, those who are looking to spend little off-time playing games or relaxing after a business trip to Panama can just do that by booking a room in the Hilton's new Alienware collaboration room. Well, what does that even mean? Alienware has recently created a special little room in one of the Hilton's in Panama to create the ultimate gaming experience. Those who book this gaming room have the chance to use, "65-inch 4K OLED TV, an Alienware PC with a Core i7-7800 and a GTX 1080Ti, Xbox One Elite controllers, an Oculus Rift, an Alienware laptop hooked up to a 34-inch ultra wide monitor, a racing chair, interactive lighting, and some weird beanbag thing with an Alienware logo on it. And two beds." The fun seems endless. For that price? Yeah, it does not seem too bad, right? >>Source

Dark Souls: Remastered for Nintendo Switch Delayed
If you want the chance to hack and swing at the infamous enemies and bosses that Dark Souls has, you will have to wait for little bit more as the remastered version of the game that was said to be released for the Switch this May is now being pushed to sometime in the summer of 2018. The game was not only going to be released for the Nintendo Switch but the PS4 and Xbox One. More importantly, this announcement is especially saddening for the Switch due to the fact that that this will be a fun, new experience for those that either had the chance to play the game before or would like to experience it on the big screen and then continue their progress on the go. When hooked up to your TV via the Switch, the game will be locked at 30 FPS and have a 1080p resolution. If you purchase the PlayStation, PC, or Xbox version of the game you will have the chance to play at 60 FPS, rather than 30. Want to play with friends? You will soon be able to with Dark Soul's Remastered online multiplayer option! Up to six players will be able to play with each other. The information on the multiplayer version is very vague, however, as it does not really describe if it will be a six-player fight to the death or a six-player singleplayer walkthrough where you can play with six friends and complete the game.

Free Legendary Pokemon For Ultra Sun And Moon Available This Weekend
As part of Pokemon's celebration of their "Year of the Legendary Pokemon" event that has been going on since February, this upcoming weekend Pokemon fans that own the Pokemon games Ultra Moon and Ultra Sun can obtain both legendary Pokemon Entei and Raikou. These two will only be available for a limited time to try and grab them while you can! In order to get them, you will need to go to your local retailer, most likely a Gamestop, and ask for a code. The code will then be redeemed at the start of the game where you can claim a mystery gift. Target will also be giving away the codes and will have them displayed in their game sections. Those in Europe can download them via the mystery gift option without a code until April 25. A little bit confusing, but you will be able to redeem the code on the first versions of Sun and Moon. However, you will be getting a different moveset for your Pokemon. Another confusing bit is the fact that depending on the game you have will determine which Pokemon you get. Those who have Ultra Sun and Sun will be getting Entei. Players with Ultra Moon and Moon will obtain Raikou. >>Source

Tokyo's Life-Sized Unicorn Gundam Lights up This Month
Japan never fails to amuse us with the life-sized figures that they have produced. Selling them for thousands of dollars to fans so they can do naughty things to them. (Yeah, who has time to display them, right?!) A Unicorn Gundam that glows up was recently put up for display in Tokyo and has different color patterns and can project light like you are at a light show. It even has moving parts to it! The figure is 19.7 meters tall which is around 64 feet and 7 inches for those in the United States. The Gundam figure will be up for display until May 6 and will showcase three light shows per night. >>Source
