Sounds like KJ pulled a quick one and ran off with most of the BTC tbh. Very shady how he wouldn't have all of the BTC available, especially when he stated that the deal would be done with the BTC value, not the USD value.

I don't know why everyone is like going against each other in this thread, so since everyone has an opinion and most people didn't bother on reading the thread I will lay out some facts

1) The contract was set up for a WIRE, but as everyone knows contracts can change if all parts agree upon said change you just add a clause and that's it, and that's what we did when everyone involved agreed upon the transaction being move from FIAT to BTC.

2) As stated in 1 since there's a whole discussion over it the amount owed is in BITCOIN

3) Someone is asking for hard proof on page 2 of this thread and I must say that I find it unnecessary, discord SS are more than enough when everyone involved is in this thread already agreeing to the claims I made.

4) I understand KJ position on all this, but number one I never asked him to move the funds from the cold wallet he set up to an exchange and he didn't even notify me or @hooper that he was doing that in December 3 months into the transaction when he was the first one that said that IF he ever needed to move the funds he would let us know FIRST; just like he did the first time when he changed cold wallets.

Last but not least, I opened this thread cause I needed it not to have drama going on, also I tried to come to an agreement with KJ but the terms weren't fulfilled on his side so I'm just waiting on him to find whatever solution he can find, and I'm not going to answer to anyone via dms, all the information is stated on this thread

Number 4 is interesting. That does put the blame at his door for sure. Middlemen need to just hold the money & that's it. It is not their money to play around with. This is a problem I have seen 4-5 times so far from well respected middlemen.

I'm someone who has no knowledge of whatever he claims happened with his exchange and reads a dispute where BTC appears to have just disappeared. I have no problem with assuming that someone pulled a quick one when I read a dispute that has BTC that has vanished from what was available for me to read at the time. After all, I'm not the judge in a courtroom, I'm just a reader who is sharing his opinion at first glance.

I reached my opinion based on what information was available for me to read at that point in time, which means it is not the dumbest shit one could ever hear. It is a perfectly fine opinion to have based on what information was in the original post. You know, I don't even think that there should have been a reason for the BTC to be on an exchange at all anyway. It should have been sitting in a wallet waiting to be sent to Hooper, not on an exchange. If Kill Joy wants to explain why the BTC was sent to an exchange that then got closed and all the events surrounding the decision-making, I'll happily listen.

And let me just say, I don't really care if you think he wouldn't take money from someone. You're his friend, and someone's friends usually come out with opinions that support their side.

If I was OP my mentality would be that okay the funds are frozen(I would want proof but I am believing KJ) but that is your problem. Pay me what you owe me & then sort that other issue out after & when you do YOU keep those funds. This way it seems like KJ is saying when this issue is sorted out you get your funds but if I don't get them then you don't get them. Which makes KJ problem the OP problem which it shouldn't be. Pay me what you owe me & then sort that other issue out after & when you do YOU keep those funds. Exactly that’s my point I’m trying to get across he dosent even want to make a back up plan in case it dosent get unfrozen neither wants to speak on it. All of it is sketchy ofc they are going to try and make it and turn it into drama it’s 100k+ and revolving a big HF user.

All I’ve been reading is your account is closed/banned without any reasoning as to why or any proof as to why it was banned/closed.

You can read a ton of disputes/reviews online from Gemini, with people having $100s of thousands being held which was resolved fairly quickly.

I’ll give you a head start. There’s tons more online as well where people had their issues resolved quickly. Unless there is something you’re not saying as to why your account got closed then it’s pretty vague.

At the end of the day, it’s not even their problem your account got closed since you weren’t even suppose to move the funds. So not sure why they should wait, or we should care that your account got closed or legal counselling or half of the other irrelevant information in this thread that means nothing.
