What was your raise this year?

What was your most recent raise? Please only say in PERCENTAGE.

I recently received a 3% raise. Hilarious. I live in a VHCOL city.

The most recent raise I got was 38.46%. I transitioned from an intern to a full-time employee at the same company.
I got a laughable 3%. I've been thinking about going ahead and retiring. This ain't helping me stick around.

I get durning winter but it was 6% this year normally we only get like 3%. I’ll probably leave next year after 1st if it’s 3% this year though
I don’t earn a salary so my pay increases correlate with
how my businesses are doing… grateful to say they are doing pretty good and pay is starting to prove worth while.

It is such a common case where the typical employee gets a single digit percent raise and I just don’t think it’s worth all the effort.

the amount agreed upon or at least be owed it. Running a business you either make more than what you expect or make less than what you expected. Nothing is guaranteed . Also if you have employees you have to pay them regardless of weather you made money or not.

Yep! You’ve quite literally explained the pros and cons of both sides!

9-5 does provide comfort in knowing you will get paid the agreed amount, while entrepreneurial is very brutal in the early years. With consistency, eventually work out better than comfortable salary.
