VPNs are services that encrypt transmitting data and sends it to thier own servers so that way it looks to the reciever that they are coming from another IP.
With Tor though it's not encrypted but the traffic is still being desquised by the tor nodes. So does that make it count as a VPN?

Not really, the provider of said VPN knows your IP address whereas it's hidden totally (or pretty much so) within Tor as the exit node doesn't know where you started, if that makes sense.

Doesn't matter tor is count as a vpn ✌

I wouldn't count Tor as "safe and encrypted", therefor IMO isn't a VPN.

There are tools at linux that you can use it as VPN not only browser.
Tor is in essence multiple VPNs
a VPN uses a tunnel via a server to access the other end users.
Tor uses multiple nodes/servers before it reaches the other user.
Just get pure vpn and then open tor for maximum safety.

Like what?
TOR is an entirely different concept than a VPN, guys. It's called The Onion Router for a reason. It works in layers, your traffic doesn't just exit at a specified point to look like it's coming from a different IP. If you don't browse the clearnet via TOR then the traffic never exits at all. Personally I use a VPN and TOR. Nobody in the know would refer to TOR as a VPN.

First somehow accurate answer in this thread.
Most people use tor as a browser, not a vpn. The point of a VPN is that you are connected to a different network than your own. File access, printer sharing, etc. all can be done through Vpns, but tor would be a bad choice to even attempt that.
Okay. Cool. So I guess i will use a VPN and tor at the same time. for max hax
