With all the on-going changes to the site, I know Omni is super busy. And this suggestion will likely get pissed all over. But I think we should really consider the benefit that the HRT team added to the forum. It allowed for effective engagement of knowledgeable members who could truly make a difference on the HF membership. I remember applying for the HRT team just for it to shortly be disbanded.
It added a really good part to the site. Those guys where people we could really trust. And where fucking incredible at their jobs. It amazed me and inspired me honestly.
I think prestigious groups like that should exist again. People who are so talented that they are trusted to use their talent for the better of the membership on this site. And it worked, great.
HRT? Do you mean MRT? Malware Removal Team?

Combination of HJT and MRT. I guess.
Many of those people aren't around anymore. As far as I'm aware, some other members are still being trained.

Were they a different team? 😧

HJT is a tool they used

HJT was rebranded to MRT from what I remember, all the same people though.
I'd like to see it come back also, but I think it's a very low chance.

I know. I was a part of that team. I was confused by the name HRT. Nobody uses the HJT anymore. It is mostly a museum tool now.

I think he just accidentally combined the two semi-related acronyms in his head
Just my opinion, as I was a part of the HJT/MRT team, no need to revive the team. People are more and more reluctant to use lengthy forum based help hence most automated tools are taking their places and few of them are really doing a great job.

Yes, thank you for correcting me. I have fixed the thread
Doubt we have enough knowledgeable and passionate members to be involved.

Maybe so but a lot of members here are here to learn and don't know that those tools exist nor how to use them.
