Hellboy 2019 "Red Band" trailer released
There is a new Hellboy movie coming out on April 12, 2019, and the new red band trailer was just released about 2 weeks ago. The new movie was originally supposed to be a sequel to Hellboy II: The Golden Army, but instead, it's going to be an R-Rated reboot with David Harbour as Hellboy. The main reason for the reboot was due to the fact that the original director of the first two films Guillermo del Toro was not offered the full writer-director capacity for this movie. Because of this, Ron Perlman refused to return without del Toro's involvement. Even though this is going to be a total reboot, the trailer sure does look quite promising. >>Source

Soloman Islands Threatens to Blacklist Companies After Oil Spill Disaster
Soloman Islands Prime Minister Rick Hou threatened to blacklist companies involved in a 100-ton oil leak near a World Heritage site following the companies' failure to accept liability for the event. The Prime Minister has reached out to Australian officials in requesting help to clean up the oil spill and prevent further marine damage as the country's infrastructure is ill-equipped to deal with such a problem. Another big risk of such large oil spills is their potential damage on coral reefs, which act as buffer zones against incoming waves. With the coral reef reduced or wholly destroyed, incoming tides will reach much further inland and could provide a danger to the residents and their property. The oil ship which ran aground on Feb. 5 still has over 600 tons of oil aboard, which experts believe has a high risk of leaking and causing further ecological damage if nothing is done.  >>Source

Venezuela Undergoes Power Cuts as Protests Loom
President Maduro and the U.S. backed opposition blame each another as Venezuelans are hit with widespread blackouts. Due to problems with the country's major hydroelectric plant, power cuts were instituted on Thursday, March 7 and affected not only everyday citizens but also hospitals - who have reported that at least one person has died when their respirator shut off. Power cuts, along with many other shortages of goods, are nothing new for Venezuela and are only getting worse. With more protests set to take place in opposition to the current regime, President Maduro has blamed the U.S. backed Guaido stating that this was a "new attack by enemies of the fatherland." Guaido used the blackouts to call attention to the government's shortcomings and urged Venezuelans to participate in the protest scheduled for Saturday, March 9. >>Source

Algerians Protest After President Announces He Will Seek a Fifth Term
In what was the largest demonstration since the 2011 Arab Spring, hundreds of thousands of protesters call for a free and democratic Algeria following the president's announcement that he will run for a fifth term. Algeria has not seen protests of this size in many decades, with cities throughout the country seeing thousands of peaceful protesters on the streets demanding that President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, who has been in power since 1999, step down and allow for democracy to take place. Adding to the fire, resentment for the country's ruling party of over 50 years continues to grow as critics claim the FLN is incompetent and corrupt. These criticisms come in the wake of long-term shortages in the housing market as well as a sharp increase in unemployment. Some believe that the system is already far too corrupt after the parties were unable to field any candidates against the incumbent president. >>Source

Note:
Before you read this week's sports news, I have to inform you that it's only going to be NFL related news. No other large news truly happened this week outside of the NFL. Once the NBA season and NHL season wrap I plan to do a large section discussing the season, it's highs, lows, etc. So, if you don't enjoy the NFL, I wouldn't read this section.

Le'Veon Bell Signs For Four Years With The Jets
On March 13th, the running back announced via Twitter that he was "back in green," meaning that he has officially signed with the New York Jets. His contract is currently a $52.5 million  contract base with the possibility to add $8.75 million in incentives. Bell had sat out of the 2018-2019 NFL season due to his ongoing contract dispute with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bell turned down offers from the Steelers, Ravens, and Raiders to sign this massive contract. Bell is expected to begin the 2019 season healthy and ready to lead his team to the Playoffs.

Antonio Brown Is Traded To The Raiders
The Oakland Raiders fleece the Pittsburgh Steelers in another move that sent four time pro bowler and leader in touchdowns last season to the Oakland Raiders. Oakland gave up only a third round pick which is no. 66 in the draft and no. 141 pick in the draft for the pro bowler. Brown and the Steelers have had an ongoing battle this season with disputes even including Brown tweeting out hateful remarks about the organization and disrespecting the team. He used these remarks on social media to put pressure on the team to deal  him, and they finally did. The trade becomes official Wednesday the 13th at 4 PM CT.

Odell Beckham Jr Traded To The Browns
Pro bowl and overall stud Odell Beckham Jr was also dealt to the Browns on Tuesday the 11th. The wide receiver was dealt to Cleveland for the no. 17th pick in the 2019 draft, the no. 95th pick in the draft and safety Jabrill Peppers. As reported, the Giants used this trade as a way to ship off players that hold the old ideals of the Giants wishing to restart the team's attitude and begin a new winning culture within the locker room. The Giants are hoping these picks can be used to pick up good young talent to move forward in their rebuild. For the Browns, they are hoping with the addition of Beckham Jr alongside their players Baker Mayfield, and Myles Garrett they can begin the end of their long tedious rebuild and make actual pushes for the playoffs.

Opinion Piece:
This is a discussion that I would like to start in every article where I discuss my opinion on the news. Let me know if you guys enjoy this if you read it.

This is a discussion that I would like to start in every article where I discuss my opinion on the news. Let me know if you guys enjoy this if you read it.
I'm not a big NFL fan, never liked American Football but moves like this always make it interesting. As a lifetime hockey fan, we're never genuinely treated to these trades and moves from well-known players. Usually, when you have a star player on a team, you'll most likely see him stay on that team either his whole career or his entire prime. That noted these moves make a Hockey fan like me excited for the NFL. With so many building storylines I might tune into watching a game or two this season. It's exciting to now see how every team has adopted a new identity — some of the better and some for the worst.

Halo Master Chief Collection Comes To Steam
Microsoft confirmed on the 12th during their Inside Xbox show that Halo's Master Chief Collection will be coming to PC through the Steam platform. The Master Chief collection will include Halo Reach, Halo Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo 4. Instead of being all released at one time they will be released in the order previously mentioned. Microsoft is wishing to begin a journey to build their PC fan base and also announced that in the future they wish to release more of their titles on the PC to expand the fan base among more than just their Xbox consoles. The release date and price have not yet been announced to the public.

Borderlands 3 Expected To Be Announced March 28th
Borderlands 3 as the title says is expected to be announced the 28th at Pax East. The developers' Gearbox have previously announced their games at various Pax events throughout the years and has been exposing 'spoilers' to the public through their verified Twitter account. These spoilers include a photo of a highway sign which reads "March 28th, Boston MA" in the iconic Borderlands artwork. Boston also happens to be the place that Pax East is happening on the 28th. More will be written once the official announcement is released.

Closings:
There really isn't much other news that I could find this week. I wanted to include another section with just some quick news that didn't truly have enough on their own to warrant a full paragraph. These includes: Minecraft comes to Xbox game pass, Devil May Cry 5 tops sales charts in the UK, Judgement shipments are halted after actor Pierre Taki is arrested, New Apex Legends characters revealed in leaks and Jade Raymond joins Google as VP of gaming.
