RTX 3080 bottleneck?

Would a Core i7 8700K, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, and a PCIe 3.0 x16 bottleneck a single RTX 3080?

Do I have to upgrade to the next-gen CPU's and chipsets when they come out for PCIe 4.0?
Nobody knows yet. Benchmarks not yet available.
I don't think it will be a bottleneck per say. But if you had a faster CPU you would get more frames of course.
Wait for the 3rd party benchmarks, only then we can tell
I'm pretty sure PCIe is backwards compatible with PCI 3.0 and PCI 4.0, however, you would only get PCI 3.0 speeds while using a PCI 4 GPU and I'm not entirely sure if and how much it will limit your GPU/framerate.

Here's an interesting video:

I guess we wait.
I only do deals onsite through PM's/Contracts.
I do not use Discord, or Skype, or talk to members offsite whatsoever.
Nobody knows yet. Benchmarks not yet available from reviewers. We can only go off what Nvidia says which they said nothing about this yet.
Be careful or you might get sarge'd

Yeah there's only 1% difference in performance if we compare gaming with PCI 3 vs 4.

I hope there's minimal difference when the 3000 series comes out so we don't have to upgrade our CPU/MoBo.
