This one was actually pretty good. It added some lore to the Evil Dead series, which was great as the last two simply resolved around finding a book and accidentally reading from it. This one goes deeper into the Kandar history and weapons. The Deadlites are after this family to find the ancient weapons, the only known weapons to stop the Deadlites. I know there's a follow up coming in 2028 called Evil Dead Wrath and this movie got me excited for the next. As usual with the Evil Dead franchise, it's very fucked up and gory and has a lot of scenes you want to cover your eyes for.
I give this one a 7/10.
I was just going to create a thread for this one. My wife and I watched it a couple nights ago. After Evil Dead Rises we found this installment to be a bit underwhelming. Maybe the last entry set the bar a tad bit higher than normal in our opinion but we were a bit bored at times. To your point, they dive into lore a bit more than some of the previous installments which was cool, but I definitely found that it lacked the sinister plot that was Evil Dead Rises.
I didn't hate it, but it wasn't my favorite by a long shot.

My problem with Evil Dead Rises was that there was no goal of the movie. They just showed up to kill the entire family and luckily they found a wood chipper at the end.
Then if you want the post credits scene in Evil Dead Burn, you'll see the mom returns in Evil Dead Rises from being decimated by a wood chipper and snaps the daughters neck.

I'm glad you mentioned that post credits scene. My stream bugged and I was unable to get to that when we watched it. We ended up just not pursuing it. I guess I'm hoping that it's an implication for the next installment to be a continuation.

With the next one already planned for a 2028 release. I'm hoping that the post credits scene was a sign that maybe we will see some sort of collaboration between the survivors of all the previous films and some mix of the deadites lore.

Did you by chance notice that in Burn, there was a picture of Ash on the wall going up the stairwell? We thought that was rather slick, haha.

I didn't. Now I need to go back and check that out. I plan to watch Ash vs The Evil Dead this week. Just getting caught up on Tulsa King first.
