Steam Machine, Gaming's next major console?

The Steam Machine is an upcoming console being released by Steam, otherwise known as Valve, later this year. Bringing the power of a PC to your living room, Steam boasts that the Steam Machine will have 30x the power of their portable gaming console, The Steam Deck, upon its release. At launch, the Steam Machine will be rolled out in two versions, a 512gb version as well as a 2tb version. To me, someone who has over 100 games in my steam game collection, the idea of getting to play the games in my steam library from the comfort of my couch is an idea I am extremely fond of. What about you?

The Dark Pictures: Directive 8020

The Dark Pictures Anthology is a 'choose your own adventure' series that recently released its fifth title, Directive 8020. After the end of season one, which consisted of Man of Medan, Little Hope, House of Ashes, and The Devil in Me, Directive 8020 started off season 2 with an entirely new structure in which the game is played. In the previous season, the gameplay consisted primarily of exploring, finding collectibles, making choices, and quick time events. Although this structure of gameplay worked for me personally, I must admit that Directive 8020 feels much more like an actual game than just an interactive movie. Sneaking past enemies, electrocuting various 'enemies'. For spoiler’s sake, and a much larger map with many different options to reach your goal, it felt like an actual game this time around. It may be due to the newly structured gameplay, but the choices you can make in this title seemed to feel as if they had much more of an impact than the games in the previous season. So, whether you are a 'choose your own adventure' fan, or just a gamer looking for a new game to try, Directive 8020 is a title you don't want to miss!

Game of the Week

This week's Game of the Week goes to Crimson Desert, a semi-newly released RPG that has grabbed the attention of a lot of gamers recently. What makes Crimson Desert such an impressive title are three main things. The first, how incredibly in-depth the game world is, whether it's gambling, breaking a horse you want, or fighting in full scale wars. Crimson Desert is a title that has thoroughly impressed me, and has certainly earned the title Game of the Week.

People Notice Energy More Than Words

You can say all the right things and still leave a bad impression if your energy feels negative, arrogant, or fake. On the other hand, calm confidence, genuine interest, and good attitude can make people remember you even after a short conversation. The way you carry yourself often speaks louder than what you actually say.

Advice of the week

Protect your energy, but also pay attention to the energy you bring into a room.

Quote of the week

“It is not the strongest of the species that survive, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change.” — Charles

[HFNews] Movie Of The Week

This week's submission is a personal favorite of mine that I suggest for pretty much any adult viewer. Although it's a series, it immediately came to mind when I started writing this even 6 months or more after watching it. I would rank this series in my top 5 list without a doubt.

If you are interested in submitting a movie entry for Movie of the Week, send all submissions to Thoth or submit them to the thread above.
