Kraken Plans to go Public
Following in Coinbase's footsteps, Kraken has confirmed its plans to go public. Coinbase announced in early 2021 that they intended to list on the stock exchange under the ticker COIN. The CEO of Kraken, a competing cryptocurrency exchange, revealed in an interview that the company is "looking at being able to go public sometime next year," with next year being 2022. Powell also stated that Kraken has been delaying seeking new investors so that they can "see where the Coinbase valuation comes in at." Should Coinbase receive a multi-billion dollar valuation through their public listing, it will indicate to Kraken that they could run a new funding round to increase their valuation to reach similar levels. >>Source

   
   
       


Saudi Arabia's Manga Productions, Toei to Open The Journey Film in Japan on June 25
The Journey (Journey: Taiko Arabia Hantо̄ de no Kiseki to Tatakai no Monogatari, or Journey: A Tale of Miracles and Battles on the Ancient Arabian Peninsula) anime will premiere in Japan on June 25. This was revealed by the new official website that opened on Thursday for Saudi Arabian media company Manga Productions and Toei Animation. >>Source

Penguidrum Crowdfunding Campaign Meets Goal in 3 Minutes
The crowdfunding campaign for Re:cycle of Penguindrum started on Thursday on the Ubugoe website, and it met its goal of 10 million yen (about $90,000) in less than three minutes. The crowdfunding was started to support Re:cycle of Penguindrum compilation film project, commemorating the 10th anniversary of director Kunihiko Ikuhara's Mawaru Penguindrum anime. The project currently funded 51,310,504 yen (about $468,000), which is 513% of its goal. The campaign will last till May 28. >>Source

'Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro' Anime Casts Nana Mizuki
Nana Mizuki will voice the President of the art club in the anime Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro (Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san). The official website announced this for the anime. The character is a third-year high school student who excels academically and physically.
