Goldman Sachs Classes Bitcoin as a New Asset Class
Investment banking titan Goldman Sachs revealed in a new piece of research that they consider Bitcoin to be an "investable asset". The global head of digital assets, Matthew McDermott, described the coin as not behaving similiar to other assets, going on to state that "it’s not often that we get to witness the emergence of a new asset class." To many in the cryptocurrency scene, this was not met with open arms. Users on Reddit joked about how Goldman Sachs must have bought the dip. Some commenters discussed how they believe that the firm saw this as nothing more than a money making opportunity, as opposed to a chance to help advance the acceptance of cryptocurrencies, and that this statement is solely because of that. >>Source
Tesla Removes Bitcoin Payment Option
In a tweet on the 12th of May, Elon Musk revealed that Tesla had "suspended vehicle purchases using Bitcoin." What was their reasoning? Concern about the "use of fossil fuels for Bitcoin mining and transactions." Many were quick to point out in replies to Musk that miners often use renewable energy sources for their farms, as well as mentioning how the production of cars and launching of rockets is just as harmful to the environment, if not more. Funimation announced on Saturday that Demon Slayer – Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train is presently the #2 most earning anime film ever at the U.S. box office. As of Friday, the film has procured $43,956,487 — pushing out Pokemon 2000 - The Movie which had $43,758,684 (unadjusted for inflation) 21 years ago. Just Pokemon: The First Movie remains in front of Mugen Train with $85,744,662. Mugen Train was released in Japan on October 16. The film was the most earning film worldwide from 2020, acquiring $477 million. Mugen Train is the first non-Hollywood or non-American film to top the yearly film industry worldwide since the beginning of cinema over a century ago. >>Source

The staff for Bones' anime of Jun Mochizuki's The Case Study of Vanitas (Vanitas no Carte) manga posted the anime's first short promotional video, which uncovers a staff member and the anime's July premiere. Yuki Kajiura (Demon Slayer, Sword Art Online, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Pandora Hearts) is creating the music, and the video previews her soundtrack. Polygon Pictures Animates New Netflix Animated Series Mech Cadets
Netflix reported on Twitter a new anime series animated by Japanese studio Polygon Pictures named Mech Cadets, based on Boom! Studios' Mech Cadet Yu comic books by Greg Pak and Takeshi Miyazawa. Aaron Lam is credited as the series' writer and executive producer.![]()
