OSRS (Oldschool Runescape) vs RS3 (Runescape 3)

Introduction post
My name is Michael, and I’m an avid OSRS player. I’ve been playing on and off since 2005. I played RS3 (RS2 before) until the EOC (more on that later), and then quit until OSRS came out. Where I started playing again, almost maxing out (but more about this in future guides).

Jagex is a British video game developer and publisher known for creating the RuneScape series. The company was founded by Andrew Gower, Paul Gower, and Constant Tedder in 2001.

OSRS, also known as 2007Scape, is a version of RuneScape that was created in response to the evolving nature of the main game, RuneScape 3. Players expressed nostalgia for the older, 2007-era version of the game and wanted to relive that experience.
Jagex launched OSRS in February 2013, based on a backup of the RuneScape source code from 2007. This allowed players to experience the game as it was over a decade ago.
Since its release, OSRS has its own dedicated development team (currently 4 developers), and its content is decided through player polls and community feedback. It has thrived with its "Old School" gameplay and graphics, catering to a dedicated player base.

RuneScape 3, is the evolution of the original RuneScape. It was officially released in July 2013 as a significant update to the game. RS3 introduced several changes, including improved graphics, a revamped combat system, and more modern gameplay features.
RS3 continued to receive regular updates and expansions, adding new content and quests to the game.
But on the contrary, it’s also worth mentioning that a new update, released on 20 November 2012, viz. “Evolution of Combat” (EOC).
The "Evolution of Combat” was a significant and controversial update introduced in RuneScape 3 (RS3). It brought about fundamental changes to the game's combat system, aiming to modernize and enhance the combat experience. Some changes including Abilities System & bar, Combat Styles and Special Attacks and Ultimate Abilities.

Would you ever go back to RS3? I find it to be a different kind of game now. The AFK aspect is kinda fun if you just want to chill and get some work done while playing.
