Remove eBook Section entirely / Huge Revamp / Remove Reviewers

@Staff - Please do not close this with just "No.", I think I, and many others would like an actual reason, please also read the whole thread through aswell.

It's 100% shit. Every eBook there is public knowledge.

& the reviewer's team is just a bunch of kids who haven't got a knowledge in most eBooks and will just be like "yeah, it's 100% unique duuude" because they've never cared to look at any other eBook marketplace, and they got a free eBook.

Also, no working monetising/similar method is going to be released, if it worked, why would they need to release it? Exactly. "I need quick cash" isn't a real reason, if you're making "$5000 a week" when you're trying to sell an eBook for $15 a piece.

The eBook section/reviewers either needs a serious revamp (such as removing all eBooks that contain monetising methods) or just get rid of it, it's a waste of server space (;

I would reckon the most viable one is to remove all sorts of monetising eBooks and make a secondary sub-subject under "Monetising Methods" where people can put download links on $harecash/etc, also making sure the other referral section doesn't get clogged up with monetising eBooks.

There also comes this problem, where eBooks are simply written with a new title or the wording vaguely changed around.

About 80% of them are posted with a different name.

Read THIS THREAD by Ηεαυεη⇔Ηειι ♠™, clearly shows how bad the eBook section & reviewers are not only is it a direct rip from another forum's free eBook section, one of the top points of orginality was "never seen an eBook as a .exe".

Itachi Uchiha writes that himself and other original reviewers spent hours combing the internet for copies of eBooks. However, the reviewers is now saturated with the typical HF leech kid. This further strengthens the motion to atleast remove monetising "methods".

Here is a stripped down version of his post.

The only definite thing that I've seen work %100, is "how to get porn accounts." "How to get steam accounts".

One of the biggest problems with the eBook section is that it is alot of simply rebranding and selling free, giveaway eBooks, as Ariton goes into detail here

If they really earned $500+ using their method, they could become a millionaire for a short time (1 Year) and I can't understand, why would a millionaire sell an eBook to earn $10, I mean if you're earning more than 500 a day, you don't even need extra $5, $10 dollars.

BioHazard is also with me on this, being an ex-reviewer himself, he also has inside insight.

(Aug 26, 2011 09:19 AM)Bad Blood Wrote:  Being an ex-Reviewer, I can honestly say that it needs major reforms. It's current system does not work. The goal of the Reviewers is to protect the buyers, and if they're not doing that, they're doing something wrong. eBooks are just assigned to whoever wants to review them, not to people who have knowledge in the field. The two parts of the review that matter the most and require the most effort are the Quality of Information and Originality, because these will state if the method is original and working. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case with most reviews.

I will be adding stuff to the OP as people post relevant information.
You're probably going to get into shit for this, but I agree 100% with you. *waits for impending doom*.

Check out my thread I made about removing the Reviewers team and adding a team to test the ebooks.
https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=1651594

I like your suggestion better.

But everyone is going to say "It's your choice to buy something" or "you take the risk on purchasing an ebook", etc.
But yep. That whole section is like 1 big scam.

Also tons of these ebooks are ripped off from other places but just re-written then a watermark of the users name is placed over each page. I have actually exposed a member for doing this, but he gave my money back and I promised not to say anything. I was going to say something but feared him charging back the money he refunded.
I dont agree, I can GURANTEE that my Upcoming ebook has never been posted on Hackforums.net!

Also 8/10 are same ebooks resold without resell rights. 2/10 is legit working ebooks.

Get a new official group testing the ebooks!
removing the ebook section is not right coz there are various ebooks that have worked for a good stipulated time !
Like the steam cracker and other many ones !
It all on the customer if he wants to buy it or not !
As a reviewer, I can honestly say, some of the e-books do work. You just have to find the right ones.
(Aug 26, 2011 07:31 AM)Itachi Uchiha Wrote:  but I was pretty hated for giving negative reviews.

What you misunderstand is that, a reviewers job isn't to check if the ebook can or can't work. The template you see they review with was actually made by Omni. Possibility of working isn't apart of that template. Some of them just went the extra mile.

Honestly, by even entering the ebook section, you shouldn't expect anything other than the usually crap. I've known that for a while now.

No dude, I know you guys have tried hard and I know you guys work hard and for the most part, you guys are good at what you do.

But, there are just too many factors that make it impossible to give an accurate review. Things such as the template not being good, not enough time to test the ebook, etc. I didn't mean to blame the Reviewers at all! Sorry if it looked like that.

I have also seen a few people say they have been scrutinized for giving bad reviews and I think that's fucked up. Really fucked up. That's why that section is such garbage, and that's why trash ebooks are allowed to be sold. I think some reviewers may feel scared to give an honest review in fear of being gang neg repped, hated, etc.

You're right on the last part, about how none of them actually work. That's why I haven't visited that section in months. You're totally right, and I just think something must be done about it because that section is like one big scam.

I'm not a leader, so I do not choose who gets picked to join.

And when I review, I often test an e-book first to see if it will work before writing my review.
Its not gonna happend. Many ebooks does work. Close this thread. And the Reviewers should start to test the guides.

Like Omni said

´´Ohh Rich quick scheme didnt work. Thanks for the Feedback´´
I Agree there is No point In selling them when All of them and Most of them Don't even work they have Make money and things like make thousands... and it Usually turns out that It never works Or was just a cheap floozy
Honestly, a lot of ebooks I've reviewed have similar methods that I've seen if I have knowledge in it.

If you have such a problem with the ebook section, don't go there.
It's like stating that "Omg, why all these kids post stupid GTs in GT section?" if you don't like it, get the hell out of the section.

I try to not take on reviews on topics I don't know, but sometimes that can't be avoided by Reviewers.
You are expecting a Reviewer that has extensive knowledge everywhere, has read hundreds of methods on making money, and is going to shell out money each and every time he Reviews it to test out if the logical ideal works? We aren't made of money, we don't get paid to review these ebooks, and we have standards in which we can review them.

Don't point a finger at Reviewers as a group, point it at some of the concepts laid down by the administration.
The members try as best as they can to give a good review, be unbiased, and tell if a method works.
It's funny though, when someone consistently gives awful reviews people are like, "That kid is a terrible Reviewer" even though they are just being honest.
Don't hate the players, hate the game. Hate the people that copy and make shitty ebooks or steal ideas.

Use common sense when it comes to ebooks. If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
"Make $15000 in a month!" Yeah... I'm sure. -_-
Use common sense instead of rallying what seems to be very negative threads against a group that tries hard to keep up with reviews.

Quote:Check out my thread I made about removing the Reviewers team and adding a team to test the ebooks.

Where the hell does the money come from to test the ebooks? I'm not going to waste $100 a month "testing" each ebook.
I have college expenses I'd much rather spend my money on.

When are you guys ever gonna choose someone who is really talented over stuff's like these.

Why do you find it so cumbersome to recruit people who have knowledge?

Why are you guys so adamant in recruiting people who can only write in flamboyant English, when its clearly evident that they don't posses any knowledge whatsoever on it.

Why?

Biased in recruiting? For the most part, they pick quality applicants, there is only one member I could speak of that didn't have the quality because they didn't research his scam reports, and he was kicked within a day or two.
Just because they may pick prominent members that have made a name for themselves, doesn't mean it's biased.
It's a lot easier to go through someone with a decent amount of posts, look at their posting style, and see if the Reviewer application was a try hard attempt to getting in.

Quote:When are you guys ever gonna choose someone who is really talented over stuff's like these.

Talented? Writing and grammatical skills are some of the key points to being a reviewer.
By all means, if you feel you know everything there is to know about ebooks, post that, your arrogance will probably be your downfall for doing so.

Quote:Why do you find it so cumbersome to recruit people who have knowledge?

We get it, someone made a bad review because he didn't know much about the subject, we try to not let that happen.
It isn't possible for someone to be knowledgeable in every subject matter.

Quote:Why are you guys so adamant in recruiting people who can only write in flamboyant English, when its clearly evident that they don't posses any knowledge whatsoever on it.

I never wrote in flamboyant English in my Reviewers application, I just typed how I normally type.
Reviewers also have standards, you are supposed to be official and proper, often pertaining to unique posting be some individuals when making reviews.
Quote:About 96% of the eBooks on Hack Forums aren't working.

I'd say the 4% working ebooks make it worth it having a section for them.
Plus you just buy them if you want to.
Removing the section will not help.

But you were right.
who cares about the grammar if the ebook has good working content?
the whole reviewers crew must be removed.
im with you op.
(Aug 26, 2011 09:26 AM)Joey Tribbiani Wrote:  Being a reviewer requires you to have excellent grammar and spelling.
How can you critique someone's e-book on the grammar section if you suck at it yourself?

Well this is funny

Okay, heads up. Ebooks some works some doesn't. Some resell stuff they dont have rights others dont. Some ebooks are real others is fake. Some monzetting is real can give you a good profit. Others aint. Yet i agree with that the reviewers goal is to protect the buyer and yet the reviewers are not testing the ebooks. This what i agree with. I dont agree with that we should remove the whole Ebook Section. Its like the Seller seciton. Some crypters are FUD some are UD and public and been sold by kids that want to make quick money. Like the booters some are Good and reliable others doesn't work. Should we ban all that? No.

The Reviewers should just simply test the method. Grammar is imporant if you get an book where you barely could understand what he said and you juts paid 30$ for it. You would sure be mad! Im not saying that the job the reviewers are doing is bad, But maybe just not enough.

Hope you understand my point.
(Aug 26, 2011 09:38 AM)Cyber-Security Wrote:  I agree with you on some aspects, the Reviewers are doing a great job, some members just need some commensense to figure out a few things.

If, you dont use your common sense. Simply don't buy it you can get scammed pretty easy.
