People are paying the most to use Ethereum. Bitcoin is getting out gamed by Sushiswap lmao (The fees for Sushiswap/Uniswap are NOT mining fees that everyone cry about, they are the fees for swapping. Mind blown 😎). There goes the narrative for BTC"when 21m BTC is mined the network will rely on transaction fees". BTC cannot even beat Sushiswap 🤣.
Ethereum is also likely going to reach it's maximum issuance 100 years before Bitcoin thanks to EIP-1559 mechanism that burns a small portion of the gas fee. You can read more about "Why 1559"

Question: But doesn't taking away the small fraction of the overall gas fee leave the network slightly more vulnerable?
Answer: No, as only the base fee is only being burned is only part of the entire transaction fee. There is also tipping included in the transaction fee which acts as the incentive for miners to include the transaction sooner. Secondly, Ethereum already does over 10x the crypto fees than Bitcoin. Bitcoin is already considered on of the more secure chains. The tiny fraction of base fee burned will still DWARF BTC in crypto fees interms of security. Finally, Ethereum adopts the minimum necessary issuance. Meaning issue out as little as possible for the MOST security. The potential price increase due to issuance reaching maximum thanks to deflationary pressure will boost the price increasing the security of the network significantly.
