Invalid Deal Disputes Omniscient has made changes to the Deal Disputes DB that will help members who have a deal dispute open against them. If a thread is created in deal disputes subforum but later moved out of there (such as being junked) or deleted, the deal dispute in the database will tag the report as "INVALID" and the change will reflect properly in the Trust Scan results as well.
The Death of Hidden Characters
With the help of the members on Hack Forums, Omniscient has most likely gotten rid of all the invisible characters that members on Hack Forums use to get a username that is taken already. Members either used it for malicious reasons such as impersonation of a member or for benign reasons like using a closed member's username.
---Removing Hidden Characters in Username - Omniscient ---Omniscient has been removing hidden characters that have not already been removed from MyBB. He is requesting that users report any hidden characters they know that users frequently use to be added to the removal list. This will hopefully prevent users from impersonating one another.
---Return From Vacation - Omniscient ---Welcome back, Omni! Omniscient has returned from a vacation he was recently on which happened to be a cruise trip around Europe. Pictures of Omni's trip can be seen on Hack Forums' official Instagram, here.

Enterpriser: #Doge, welcome to the weekly news interview. Before we get started, would you like to make any shout outs? #Doge: Hello, thank you for this interview. I'd like to make a shoutout to SILENT, who is my partner and to the group leaders who invited me and kept me for so long even though I am inactive.
Enterpriser:Thank you. Tell us a little back story about yourself. What made you join Hack Forums? #Doge: I remember back 08 or 09, I was looking for 'hacking tutorials'. I first stumbled upon a forum called 'crackhackforums'. I stayed there for a while but one day I misspelled and just placed hackforums.net. That's actually how I began here.
Enterpriser: Is the friend that introduced you still active on Hack forums? #Doge: Yep :) and in fact his name is 24K!
Enterpriser: Aha, pretty funny actually. I was scrolling your profile and I noticed that you are extremely skilled at GFX. Care to tell us about that? #Doge: Well, I first began doing graphics roughly 3 or 4 years ago. I first used the program Cinema 4D and Endorphine because me and my brother wanted to make funny videos with some 3d clone trooper models he found.
I was looking for tutorials on how to use both of the programs when I stumbled upon another tutorial that simply amazed me. It was a C4D + Photoshop kind of tutorial, I think the author's name was Abduzeedo. Since then, I never stopped using Photoshop, unfortunately tho, I never got into the animation aspect of Cinema which was my original goal.
Enterpriser Interesting story. Is graphics just a hobby for you? #Doge: Yes actually. But I would like it to be more than that. I made a mistake of taking a different course than that of what I really want. Currently, it is my main source of income.
Enterpriser: Do you own any companies or have any type of services up? #Doge: I currently do not have anything setup. I do have a partnership with the member SILENT. I do hope that in the future, I will have time for such.
Enterpriser: Ah I see. After further inspection of your profile, I see that you are in the group " Illuminati ", tell us a little bit more about it? How'd you receive a invitation and are you enjoying it so far? #Doge: I was invited to illuminati by Bandors right after I finished the designs for the group. My experience in the group has been quite unique. The members do contribute a lot and I know that the group will have a lot more to offer in the coming days.
Enterpriser: Mind hinting a upcoming project from Illuminati or is that information private? #Doge: All I can say is that I know Bandors is true to his word that Illuminati is a Marketing group and from what I've seen it really is and will give more to the market of HF. Me and my partner has been making quite a bit of graphics for the products of Illuminati and we'll keep on doing so.
Enterpriser: You do a lot of graphics for the group I see. Why not open a graphics service on Hack Forums? #Doge: The main reason is that I am not very fond of making thread designs or simply anything with typography. That is usually the first thing I tell my clients. Seeing that the HF graphics market is usually filled with requests for thread designs, I've decided that I won't be opening a service like that. I do however, participate a lot in contests especially if it's group related.
Enterpriser: Have you won any contest's lately with your graphics? #Doge: The latest contest I won was Illuminati. Before that, I think it was Royalty. I made some on other forums as well.
Enterpriser: Interesting, It seems like that's all we have time for today. Before I go, I have one more question for you, what is your honest opinion on the Hack Forums community? #Doge: I feel that it's one of a kind. I've never seen any other forums quite like it. The community is amazing, it's very active and there are really good people you can meet. Simply put, Omni did a great job and is till doing so.
Enterpriser: Thank you for giving me the opportunity for interviewing you, have a good day! #Doge: You too (:

U.S. Urges American Citizens to Leave Gaza “as Soon as Possible”
The U.S. State Department has suggested Americans leave the Gaza Strip soon. Militants of Palestine and Israel have not engaged since 2014, but flare-ups are becoming more frequent between the two territories. Accordingly, Americans are urged to not travel to Gaza in the near future. This warning was prompted after a conflict between the territories on August 21: A Palestinian rocket was fired into an Israeli border town, and Hamas was hit by dozens of Israeli strikes in retaliation.
Germans in Favor of Burqa Ban
A recent poll in Germany shows that 81% of its citizens do not want the burqa worn in public places. The full-body veil is an Islamic clothing item which covers a woman from head to toe. This public sentiment is likely due to the many small-scare terrorist attacks that have affected the nation this summer. The belief behind the support for a ban is that it will diminish security risks in the country. A law of similar nature took effect in France in 2011.
New Bill Presented to Russian Parliament to Criminalize Female Genital Mutilation
A new bill is set to imprison Russians that practice female genital mutilation (FGM). Under the bill, violators could face up to 10 years in prison. The bill states that FGM “has no place in civilized society.” Those that practice FGM believe it protects women from an “immoral lifestyle.” Many have already condemned the practice, but an Islamic cleric from Russia’s North Caucasus defended its use. The operation is normally performed on girls under the age of 3, but a report from a human rights foundation indicates that the procedure has been performed on girls as old as 12.
Pokemon Go Loses Over 10 Million Users
The game that seemed to have the world enthralled, Pokemon Go, is losing steam. The mobile game by Niantic reached nearly 50 million users daily through the month of July, and has been dwindling ever since. According to data gathered by third-party companies, the apps' userbase now only reaches around 30 million users daily. While this is still a gigantic number, it won't be making such an impact on the usage time of apps such as Twitter and Facebook.
Dominos to Test Delivery Drones in NZ
If you're a pizza fan who just happens to live in New Zealand, you'll be the first to get a look at Dominos' new form of delivering pizzas: by air, using drones. According to the company, the drone will only be used in close proximity to each store's location, as well as when it is faster than other methods of delivery. Dominoes managing director Don Meij stated that he thinks drones are the way to go, "Adding innovation such as drone deliveries means customers can experience cutting-edge technology and the convenience of having their Supreme pizza delivered via air to their door. This is the future." If the drone program is a success in New Zealand, Dominos plans to bring them to Japan, and a variety of European countries.
AMD Flaunts Zen CPU Line
AMD's unveiling of two new processors may mean Intel will have quite a bit more competition. The processors will all run what AMD calls the Zen architecture, and are slated for an early 2017 release. The first of the chip is named the Summit Ridge. It will pack eight cores that will multi-thread to a whopping 16 cores, and is aimed for high end PC enthusiasts. last but not least, AMD's second Zen chip will be the Naples, and it will pack some serious processing power. The Naples chip will feature 32 cores that will hyper-thread to a whopping 64 cores. While the Summit Ridge is aimed at high-end consumers, the Naples targets server builds. Clock speed on AMD's chips has not been tested yet, as their demonstrations for the chips were locked at 3 GHz.
Final Fantasy 15's Open World Becomes Narrow Midway Through!
Director Hajime Tabata revealed how long Final Fantasy 15 is as well as how it expands and contracts structurally in a recent interview with the Japanese publication, Famitsu. Tabata revealed that the game will play in chapters. The chapters will range from 0 to 15. He went on further to say that the game will take approximately 40 to 50 hours to beat if you play it linearly. However, like previous Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy 15 will be loaded with mini-games and side quests to strengthen your party and their equipment. Taking that into consideration, the game can easily take approximately 100 hours to complete in totality like its predecessors have. The game will shift structurally about halfway through Tabata explained. "Final Fantasy XV consists of both open-world and linear parts. The first half keeps going as an open world, but the story in the second half is led by a linear path. That way, you won't get bored of an open world as the rest of the game tightens, so we made it in a way that you'll also get to advance through it as you have in conventional Final Fantasy games". He also referenced a "main path" in the second half of the game, so it is implied that there will still be some freedom as the game tightens structurally. Tabata and the team behind Final Fantasy 15 have given their all to this project in hopes that it meets everyone's expectations. There is a lot of pressure placed upon them as this game has been in the works for over 10 years. The pressure to produce a perfect game led to Square Enix pushing it back 2 months to a November 30 release date.
Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Story Details Revealed by ESRB Rating!
Capcom has kept relatively tight lips when it comes to the contents of their latest entry into the Resident Evil franchise. We didn't know much about the game until now thanks to an ESRB rating that revealed key story details. Combat has been noticeably absent from both demos released and fans were left wondering just how much combat would be present in the finished game. Thanks to the now-removed ESRB rating summary, we learned that players will use weapons like "pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives, and chainsaws" against mutated creatures. Compared to the pathetic axe in the trailer, that is quite the arsenal. The ESRB summary also highlighted a few gruesome scenes filled with graphic violence. These scenes included dismemberment by a chainsaw and shovel. There was also a scene mentioned that included mangled corpses with guts hanging out entirely exposed. Resident Evil 7 definitely sounds as violent as it usually is thus far. In addition to learning about just how graphic the game will be, we also learned the protagonist's name and his mission. Resident Evil 7 will follow a character named Ethan as he searches for his missing wife in a dilapidated mansion. No other details other than ones we were aware of for some time now have been revealed. We'll likely hear more once Capcom reveals what the dummy finger's purpose was in the original demo. Resident Evil 7 is due out January 24.
Video Games Greatly Influenced Netflix's Hit Series Stranger Things!
People often underestimate the capability that video games have to craft intricate and beautiful stories simply because they're thought to be made more mindless entertainment. However, video games have the power to influence greatness and that is exemplified in Matt Duffer's Stranger Things. The show's Upside Down area, which is an alternate reality of sorts, is influenced by the Konami's Silent Hill. Silent Hill was a huge influence for Stranger Things atmospherically. Duffer aimed to play clear homage to the series through the iconic visuals of Silent Hill's fog. The Last of Us, Naughty Dog's iconic masterpiece, and Software's Dark Souls also had a great influence on Stranger Things. Matt Duffer explains: "I love [The Last of Us] and the storytelling in that game and a lot of the imagery. We're huge, huge fans of the Dark Souls games, and there's something about when you're playing Dark Souls--immediately when you're in that world, it was to do with the imagery, it has to do with the sound design, and you're just immediately very uncomfortable and on edge. We wanted you to feel that way when you're in the Upside Down." Duffer continued to share his love for video games and how they most likely influenced his work greater than he can even recognize. Stranger Things takes place in Indiana during the year of 1983 and follows the disappearance of a young boy, as well as a girl with mysterious powers and a secret agency that may harbor secrets greater than one could imagine. Stranger Things is currently airing on Netflix. Be sure to give it a watch!
Cocks Not Glocks
With schools going back into session, a group of students protested against a "campus carry" law at the University of Texas on August 24. The law states that anyone who is permitted to have a gun and older than age 21 is allowed to carry concealed handguns on campus. The "Cocks Not Glocks" was created upon the fact that people are allowed to carry concealed handguns, but they are not allowed to the showing of sex toys are forbidden. In all, over 5,000 dildos, donated by sex shops, have been handed out to the public to stand for this protest.
Justin Bieber Accidentally Returns to Instagram
On August 29, the pop star, who has nearly 78 million Instagram followers, reactivated his Instagram account. Many people thought the pop sensation would finally be back on the popular social media network with the reactivation of his account; however, Bieber sent out a tweet Monday afternoon stating, "Still no Instagram it was an accident." Around 30 minutes after this tweet was sent out, his Instagram account was, once again, deleted.
Beyonce Shines at VMAs
With the MTV Video Music Awards playing on August 28, we were prepared for a show knowing everyone who would make an appearance, but Beyoncé seems to have been the spotlight for a good portion of the night. The female pop artist won eight different awards, including video of the year. Beyoncé performed five different songs from her new visual album "Lemonade", which lasted for around 16 minutes. Beyoncé's competitor, Britney Spears, seemed to run short despite not performing at the VMAs for a decently long time. Britney appeared to lip synced the hooks to the popular song "Me, Myself and I".
