Michael Cohen to plead guilty: Trump ex-lawyers admits lying to Congress
If you’ve not heard by now, President Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen has admitted that he lied to Congress regarding a property deal that Trump was involved in during the 2016 election. Oh 29 November 2018, Cohen said he lied to Congress out of loyalty to President Trump. Trump said his former lawyer was ‘lying’ to prosecutors in an effort to receive a reduced sentence if convicted. A special council led by Robert Mueller is currently investigating Russia’s “role in the 2016 election and whether Mr. Trump colluded with it.” Cohen pleaded guilty to violating finance laws during the 2016 election in August, where the then-right-hand man handled President Trump’s hush money for Trump’s alleged affairs in the past.

On Thursday of last week, Michael Cohen, aged 52, pled guilty “to one count of making false statements to Congress.” At the hearing he claimed he had submitted an untruthful statement about the Trump Organization and the plan to build a skyscraper in the heart of Russia. Cohen, who referred to President Trump as ‘individual 1’ stated that he ‘made these misstatements to be consistent with individual 1's political messaging and out of loyalty to individual 1.’ During October 2018, Michael Cohen was interviewed behind closed doors by lawmakers who were conducting their own investigation into the Trump campaign’s alleged involvement with Russia to help sway the US election in 2016. During that investigation Cohen told the committees than talks of the project ended in January 2016. >>Source

MI6 head claim Russia broke a primary rule of espionage; won’t be trusted again
Before reading, you must be briefed on the term “spy swap.” Spy swaps date back to the Cold War between the West and Russia. The term itself is self-explanatory, however there talks behind the scenes that typically go one of two ways. The key goal is to maintain the safety of the spies during the exchange, hence why it is paramount and at the forefront of the agreement. Agencies typically try to keep a “gentleman’s agreement” between each party so more spy swaps can be done in the future if need be.

The head of MI6 claims Russia broke a primary rule of espionage and will not be trusted in the future after an assassination attempt took place on a former Russian agent involved in a spy swap. Eyes are already on Russia for numerous reasons, so the revision of assumptions about Moscow after the assassination attempt on Sergei Skripa with a nerve agent was to be expected. Alex Younger, Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) said that the United Kingdom “had partly trusted Russian President Vladimir Putin when Russia pardoned Skripal in 2010 in return for its own agents.” Younger said that he and his agents expected the spy swap could build trust and would be honored, however, their opinion has altered greatly after this attack.

In what almost seems like a threat, Younger said: “Russia was in a ‘perpetual state of confrontation’ with the UK and warned the Kremlin not to underestimate the UK's determination to fight attempts to interfere with its way of life.” Younger said his goal with this situation now is to help Russia realize conclude that whatever the result they were hoping for is not worth the risk that an event like this entails. >>Source

It is said that hackers have had access to this information for up to four years, which leads to the question why Marriott has only just revealed this worrying news. Marriott has stated that for 327 million people, the phone numbers, names, email addresses, passport numbers, and numerous other personal information has been leaked. Among this, a few million customers have also been told that their encrypted credit card numbers and expiration dates have also potentially been compromised. With this in mind, many are worrying that the decryption keys for the numerous Credit Cards have also been stolen by the hackers. Marriott has been unable to confirm that the hackers have been able to decrypt these credit card numbers; however, it is clear that they have left many customers in danger of credit card fraud and identity fraud. >>Source

I feel like that would spam it a bit, but I don't mind replying to the thread every time. I usually don't post on the editions but I should start doing it more.
